New Roof

We have a new roof. Our tile roof was supposed to last a lifetime, but it was put on incorrectly and so we've been fighting leaks ever since we moved in. We had some bids offered on both a new tile roof or on several different types of metal. We chose a metal roof because I grew up with a metal roof and loved it and because it was less expensive than the tile. It took the crew seven working days to take off the tile and put up the new roof. They did a great job and we really love it. We were worried at first that it wouldn't be as beautiful, but we really do like it. Now I want to repaint the front door though.

The new roof is perfect. Blue certainly made the house look brighter. Now that the problem with the roof is fixed, you have more time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. :)

The blue metal roof is a wise choice. Blue and white make a good color combination. It certainly blended with the natural environment -- from the green grass up front, the trees on the background and the very lovely blue skies. I love it!

Light colored roofs are guaranteed to make your house more energy-efficient since it helps reflect the sun’s rays, thus making your summers a lot cooler. =) Your blue metal roof sure is attractive. I’m sure you’ll be the new envy of the neighborhood, hehe!

Good choice of color, Amber. Blue is the coolest color among all colors because it symbolizes youth, spirituality, truth, peace and distance.

Good choice! I love it that you changed the color of your roof. Blue is always a refreshing color, and it blends with the stimulating mood of the sky. Seven working days is long enough to beautify and repair your roof. Workers must have really paid attention to every detail. It looks fresh and really sturdy, compared to the one you had before. Thumbs up!

One factor that affects the durability of a roof is proper installation. Just like with a vehicle, if every component is securely installed, then it can perform at its best. Also, choosing metal roofing is a wise move. You’ll surely get the most out of your purchase because it is one of the strongest roofing materials in the market.

Good pick! Indeed, a metal roof is inexpensive, but the durability it guarantees is remarkable. Actually, metal roofs have the highest rank when it comes to impact resistance. It is classified as Class IV by the Underwriter Laboratory. Kind regards! =)

Santo, has a point. A good installation equals to a long lasting and great performance of a roof. Also, along with it, is the right way of conducting maintenance of one’s roof. Both of these factors combined, would make sure that a homeowner would have a sturdy enough roof to withstand erratic weather, and hopefully, last them for a lifetime. :)

Another benefit of having a metal roof on your home is the reduced utility bills. It is an ideal roof for houses that have attics. The metal roof protects the attic from the heat of the sun. On the other hand, if you don’t like the sound of the rain on your roof, you can go for a metal roof too. Metal roofing is just as quiet as any other roofing material.

Aww. Your tile roof was not installed properly? What a waste of money! You should hire only the services of reliable roofing contractors, so you can be assured that your roof is in good hands. Anyway, it’s good that you have a new roof now, and it was installed properly too. Don’t forget to have it maintained and inspected regularly and always keep it clean.

You made a good decision in choosing metal over roof tiles. First, metal roof is basically cheaper compared with roof tiles. Second, it doesn't have to be maintained often compared with roof tiles, whose shingles that were attached wrong will blow off. Anyway, congratulations on your new roof!

You’re right, Richard. Metal roof is a very cost-effective type of roofing. When it comes to durability, metal roof is an excellent choice. In fact, it is rated Class IV, the highest premium credit, after passing the UL Standard 2218 test.
