Limo Christmas Lights

Image
In December, I booked a limo to pick us up and take us to see the Christmas lights. It was so fun! We surprised the kids and they were thrilled! I packed champagne for the grown ups and kid wine for the kids and tons of snacks. The kids had fun with inhaling the balloons and singing high pitched Christmas carols  and loved the over the top lights on the houses. We ended the evening by picking up hamburgers in our limo and having a game night at our place. It was such a fun way to have a Christmas celebration that was covid safe!

December in the time of Covid

Despite being locked down for December, we actually had a lovely month. We watched a LOT of Christmas movies. We had five advent calendars. The boys had lego and Harry Potter candy advents as well as an activity one that I made them. Michael and I had a wine advent calendar and then we had our traditional jesus in a manger one. Leah and Garrett were over almost all the time and Leah helped me do lots of baking. I made tiny bundt cakes for all the neighbors one day which was fun. Leah and I also made homemade pasta for Franksgiving with Anastasis. I taught from home and the kids did school from home. There were no lessons or gym. The kids got exercise by playing outside and scootering and biking when the weather allowed. We watched the Saints played and watched a livestream Brandi Carlile Christmas Concert. We quarantined before Christmas so we could go to Taos so everything was ordered in and we only saw the Danielsons. But man, we still were merry and blasted the Christmas music nigh...

November in Pictures

November was a crazy month. We had the presidential election, and that was big, but most our big changes were about Covid. Mid month, our  numbers were so high that schools shut down and we went into stay at home mode. We had to cancel our road trip to Texas for Thanksgiving. I had to film my school's christmas show super fast without any rehearsal! We mostly just stayed home. We played with Rosie, got in the hot tub a lot, played in the snow. Davis got his new race bike which was a huge deal. We picked up doughnuts from Voodoo (vegan!). We re-organized the garage and put in new shelving. We had weekend game nights with the Danielsons. I was cleansing all month so it made it even more boring. But we made it through! We did have Thanksgiving with the Danielsons and that was really fun! We cooked and had a feast at their house with gorgeous dishes and food.

Rosie!

We adopted Rosie on Oct 30th. She is a Yo-Chon, which is half Yorkie, half Bichon. She is the softest, sweetest thing you ever saw. She is curious and so smart! She follows Michael and me around every where we go. She was 2.6 pounds when we got her and she is 6 pounds now. Sookie likes her just fine and plays with her and shows her the ropes. Holly hates her guts and would prefer if we would send her away immediately. We are still working on potty training her, but other than that she is practically perfect in every way!
