More Fall in Littleton

Image
It snowed the day we got back from Texas. But it melted the next day so all was well. Still, our beautiful fall foliage was interrupted and that made me sad. I spent the week running with dog, puttering around the house and staying busy. I met with a talent agency and got signed! The kids went to Snobahn for their lessons and Michael and I sat next door and drank wine at Indulge. It was a lovely week. That weekend we had Catan night, carved our pumpkins, attended the Anastasis fundraiser and went to Elich Gardens. The boys also started their cotillion classes. By that Sunday evening though, I had caught a terrible cold and was down for the count. It was unfortunate timing as Michael had to fly out of town Monday morning. I spent the whole week MISERABLE. I was so sick. Sick. Could barely make it up and down the stairs, couldn't breathe, ached all over, had a headache and then it moved to my stomach. In retrospect I think I could have had the flu. But it was bad. Yet still I paren

Martha and Clark's 50th Wedding Anniversary

Image
Martha and Clark had their 50th wedding anniversary celebration at my mom's house the last weekend of fall break. It was absolutely beautiful. The flowers, food, decor, wine and company were all perfect. It was so nice to be able to celebrate them and their life together. Michael and Steven gave beautiful toasts, I got to hang out with family and we had so much fun. It was a great party.

Fall Break Texas 2018

We really enjoyed spending our week in San Marcos. The first year after we moved it was extremely difficult for me as it was the first time I'd been back since my dad died and we moved away. The second year was easier, but still quite bittersweet. This time I was able to relax and have fun! Mom and I did yoga in the morning light upstairs, the kids swam, I ran around the ranch and met the new pigs, Cheris came down for a visit with the kids, Martha and Clark arrived, we went to see Kade play football in the most exciting sports game of my life, we had dinner at Casa Maria with the Gardners, Sam fished with his Grandpa. I made a run to HEB, mom and I took the kids to Barton Creek Mall and had a blast shopping while they shopped on their own, we ate brisket and tacos. I looked through old photos. Mom and I watched travel documentaries and talked travel. We drank good wine. I got to hug and love on my Uncle Larry and my GG. I even got to visit with our renters. The kids drove the mu

Night in Austin

Image
We flew in to Austin for fall break on Oct 6th. We spent the night at the Hyatt Regency in order to stay downtown to listen to live music. Mom joined us. We left the kids in the room playing fortnite and went out to South Congress. We enjoyed watching Shelly King at the Continental Club. Lilly met us there. Then we went to Guero's where we met up with Tiff and Kade. Then we went back across the street to hear Emily Gimble at the upstairs version of Continental club. Manie joined us there! Then we all went back to the original Continental Club for Luanne Barton. It was an amazing night-one of the very best I have had in a long, long time! The next morning we had breakfast and then walked a while on the trail around town lake. (lady bird now) Then we went back to South Congress to poke around in the stores, have ice cream and hear Emily Gimble again at Joe's. (where we took the obligatory I love you photos). Michael's flight was supposed to leave later that evening, but due

End of September in Pictures

I can't seem to keep up on my blog! I want to sit down and write all my thoughts and musings, but I can't seem to keep up. We spent the last week of September with changing leaves, donuts, catan, festivals, school, cooking, attending Dear Evan Hansen and being with friends. I heart Colorado in the fall!
