A Weekend of Fun

Image
We had a great weekend. My parents came up to visit us and see our new digs. They stayed at a great resort very close to our house. Davis was thrilled to see his Mimi and PaPa. They played and played. Friday we went to Mill Avenue and tried a very cool Italian restaurant. Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe is sort of like a Third Street Promenade on Campus. Lots of bars and restaurants and shops. Then on Saturday we went to the Phoenix Zoo. We had a great time, though we were exhausted long before we covered the whole thing. We'll have to go back. Davis had never been to the zoo before so this was a big deal. He liked the monkeys, but I think everything was just too big and the animals were to far away. We'll try again though, because the children's section is wonderful. Saturday night we got a sitter and left both the munchkins. I was nervous leaving little Samuel, because it was the first time I had left him with anyone, but it was a good thing. We had an amazing

Here goes: Big boy bed neigh- neigh (horse) mo-mo (cow) Wuh-wuh (dog) Hi and hello and bye bye Dink (drink) Poon (spoon) Crack (cracker) Outside Vespa Big Truck Cai (Car) Milk Book Race Cai (race car) Tractor Choo Choo (train) Eat Snack Cheese Juice Shoes Hock (sock) Hat Head Ho-ho-ho (christmas, presents, santa, etc.) Do, re, mi, fa, so, l

It's a four month stint and it's a good thing because it is something that Michael really wants to do and that we are hoping will lead to a great career path. It's a hard thing because we have two small children and no support system out here. Michael leaves for work in the morning on his vespa and I look around this tiny apartment at my two tiny boys and try to figure out how to keep them happy all day long. I don't have a lot to say in this blog. To be honest, I'm not completely familiar with how blogs work. But I did think that maybe I could use this to keep you all filled in on the small things that happen day to day with the Walter Clan. For instance, today we went for Sam's two month well visit. We found a pediatrician by asking another mom at story time last week. He is doing well. He's 13 pounds three ounces and 23 inches. His head is huge. His weight i
