Living in Munchkinland

We attended the DA2030 charity polo event again this year for our third time in a row. It is probably my favorite weekend of the year. Last year mom came and that made it even more fun, but alas, this year she could not come. We still had a great time with a really fun table of good friends. That was a good thing because the weather was not our friend. It was incredibly cold and it poured down rain day after day. Saturday's family day was a bit of bust until the sun came out at the end, but Friday night was all tented and my outfit that I had so worried would be too hot, turned out perfect for the weather and Sunday the sun came out enough to make it a splendid day. At our table we had Suzy and Jason, Kara and Ben, Christin and Bill, Maggie and Mike and ourselves. Jen and Jon bought individual tickets and Tony and Tara sat with the alumni but we still got to hang out with them. It was really still so much fun despite the weather and I am already looking forward to next year!

For our Family Foundation meeting we all met in Tuscany. We rented a villa called Villa Angelica. We took the high speed train to Pisa from Rome where we took the PISmover to the airport from the trainstation, took a shuttle to the rental car place and got our car. Then we drove over to mom's hotel to pick her up and drive to our villa. Our villa was in a tiny town called Fabbrica Peccioli. It was basically a village suburb of Peccioli, about 5 km away. Our villa was lovely and had gorgeous views from the pool. Tiffany and Keith and Kade met us there later that evening and our party was complete!
