Sam graduates 8th Grade and End of the Year Celebrations!

Image
Sam had Storyline at school, then 8th grade graduation. The next day he had field day and then I had staff happy hour with wine tasting at Kelly's. The next day we had an Outdoor Movie night with guardians of the galaxy and on Sunday evening we rounded out the weekend with a family movie night of Breakfast Club. It was a great way to kick off summer! (Now if it would only warm up!)

Racer X Season Begins

Image
It's mountain biking season again. So far Davis has raced Floyd Hill and Lookout Mountain. The day after the play was Lookout Mountain and Mom and Paul got to see him race. It was a cool, foggy morning, but beautiful. We had lunch in Golden afterwards at a fun Mexican place. It was lovely.

Anastasis "Evening of One Acts"

We had our school play super late this year due to Covid. I also did a series of one act plays (four to be exact) in order to keep cohorts separate. It was so much work. But it was wonderful to do the play and I was really happy with them. I did "How the People Got Fire" for my youngest two classes. Then I did "Stories from Around the World", "The Internet is Distract...Oh Look There's a Kitten" and "All I Need to Know I Learned From Being a Zombie". The last one was the oldest class and Sam did incredibly well in it. He is truly a talented actor. My mom and Paul flew in for the weekend and got to see the plays and I was thrilled! After our performances Erin, Patrick, Mom, Paul, Michael, Davis, Suzy, Leah, Garrett and Sam all came out to the Varsity Inn with us to celebrate. It was so fun! We got tons of flowers and Mom and Paul sent Sam a special arrangement with a lego character to the school. So thoughtful!!! It is a joy to do theater, C

Mother's Day 2021

Image
It poured down rain on Mother's Day. The kids had slept over at the Danielsons so I had the morning to myself. Michael brought me coffee and I got in the hot tub in the chilly mist. It was lovely. Then the kids came home and we all went to brunch at True Food Kitchen. That afternoon we went over to Suzy's house to meet her friend Andrea and her family for a bbq. It was a very nice, relaxing day that ended with wine and more episodes of Pretty Little Liars so that was all good.

Davis's 1st Prom

Image
Davis's girlfriend is a junior, so this year he got to go to prom. The prom was off campus and very small (about 50 kids). I let Davis go because he was vaccinated, but I was still worried. We bought him his first suit and got nice dress shoes and haircut. We ordered Bella corsage and he was ready to go! He said it was alright.
