Mother's Day Pool Party
I had a wonderful mother's day. This morning we delivered muffins and chocolates and cards to G.G. in bed and then after a quick trip to pick up flowers from my dad to my mom at the store, we delivered muffins and presents and cards to my mom at her house. We were all filled with a happy, loving mother's day spirit and we enjoyed spending that special time with my mom and grandma.
The kids gifted me with a new pair of Toms and the cookbook Veganomicon and were so pleased and sweet about mother's day. I got lots of hugs and sweet words and they were helpful and kind. Michael was great all day and treated me like a queen. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and such great kids.
I spent the rest of the morning reading and resting and taking a quiet bath and then we picked up my dad and went to church. It was a nice service and we all enjoyed it.
We had a quick lunch of leftovers and then we spent some time on Skype with my mother and father in law. We had a great time catching up and visiting. I love them so.
And the we all went over to my parents' house for a pool party! It was my special request for mother's day and I had a great time. We all brought our own food to grill and a side to share. Stacey and Chris and their kids, Cheris and Rob and their kids and Anne and Jeff and their kids all came. Tiff and Keith and Kade were there and my grandparents and Uncle Larry and Manie and Hank. Glendon came with their friends and we all just chatted and swam and ate and drank and had a wonderful time. I had been really stressed about it because I had been worried it would be too much work for my mother and that perhaps I had obligated her too much, but in the end it all turned out great. Everybody pitched in helped and enjoyed each others company. I think she had a great time and I hope everyone else did too. This may have been my best mothers day ever.
I love my friends so much and their whole families. I love my whole family and feel so blessed that they are my friends. I hope you all had a wonderful mothers' day too. XXOO! Amber
