Tyler Place 2016

We just got home from another amazing week in northern Vermont. Our week at family camp is unbelievably wonderful. This year was even better than last. We made even better, closer connections with friends (everyone goes the same week, year after year) and the kids did too. They loved their clubs and were even more independent at family time, hanging with friends or in Davis's case, hanging at the bike shop. We tried new activities and old favorites. We did lawn games again, which was fun, but not as fun as last year. Michael played baseball this year and did way better than last and the guest team actually won!!!! We did the aqua aerobics class again and it was still very challenging! We played in the lake and enjoyed it more this year as the weather was warmer. I sang again on Broadway night and had a lovely time with a charming group at our table. We enjoyed fireworks at the boat dock and someone brought sparklers for all the kids. We did archery with the kids and attended Vermont days and wove the may pole again. I spent many quiet afternoons on our screen porch overlooking the lake reading my book.
We also tried many new things this year. I tried tennis and really enjoyed it. Michael and I did the mountain bike ride around Isle la Motte and it was fabulous. I kayaked with some girl friends and had a good time. Michael and Davis took a sailing lesson and learned to feel confident on a hobie cat. Michael and Samuel went on a family fishing trip. We played trivia on a team and danced our feet off at the dance party. It was really, really great. I can't wait to go again next year.
