Electric Safari at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Last night we drove down to Colorado Springs to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo for the Electric Safari. Electric Safari a really cool light display with tons of light sculptures of animals. We went with some friends of ours, and it was such a fun excursion. The kids had a fabulous time, running from one exhibit to the other and enjoying the lights. The weather was amazing. It was in the fifties when we got there and stayed pretty warm, considering. The zoo is up on a mountain overlooking the city and there were breathtaking views from almost every point. We saw a sloth actually moving, a huge tiger, an elephant dancing in his stall, a hundred budgies, a tree kangaroo, a huge moose, lots of turtles, two bald eagles and much more. It was a perfect family evening. This was our first time to visit Colorado Springs, which is about an hour from our house. We were excited to drive by the Broadmoor, which was lit up and absolutely beautiful. I want to stay there someday. This was a great excursion and a fun way to continue exploring our area.
