Baking and Making Jam

Last Friday I felt like canning so I drove out to Costco to see what fresh veggies or fruits they had. There wasn't much that looked good except for some beautiful apples. I bought a ton and brought them home where I made apple butter and an apple cake. I also decided to make a batch of banana butter. It turned out so good! I put them in a water bath to preserve them and I will give small jars of the butters as christmas gifts along with small loaves of bread. I'm so pleased and the house smelled amazing!
