Snow Mountain Ranch New Year Trip

After one day at home, we packed up the car with roof rack and back stuffed to the gills and drove to Snow Mountain Ranch. We are YMCA of the Rockie's members and we had booked a five bedroom cabin in the hopes we could go up there over New Year's eve. It worked and we invited Michael's whole family to join us. The cabin was in the most premium location with a gorgeous view. It was warm and cozy and had all the amenities except for limited hot water. Michael's family flew in, rented a car, and drove to meet us there. We had so much fun. We played lots of games including Anomia, One Night Werewolf, Spades and Charades. Michael, Davis and Sam and I took a cross country ski lesson. We all went tubing on the tubing hill. Michael and I took two amazing snow shoe hikes together, one to the top of a mountain where I mailed a letter in God's mailbox to my Daddy. Michael and Sam and Davis went snowboarding with Steve's whole family one day while I hiked up again in my snowshoes. Davis went snowboarding a second day with Steve's family and loved it again. Both days of snowboarding were at Granby Ranch and everyone loved it. We are considering getting Davis a season pass there next year. We spent New Year's eve day on a sleigh ride with hot cocoa and singing and spent the evening at the Kiva, roller skating and playing dodge ball. The kids did lots of sledding and Davis drove his RC car in the snow. We took Sam to the Adventure park and he and Clark sledded and Martha tried out some snowshoes. We out one night in Winter Park for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. We saw moose several times. I was thrilled. We curled up by the fireplace and took turns cooking dinner. We watched amazing sunrises and sunsets and slept in total silence. We had lots of laughs. I love snow mountain ranch so much and hope to get there as often as possible!
