Spring Weekend

This weekend was busy. Friday, Sam and I drove up to Loveland so he could shoot a Christian bible school infomercial. We finished by lunchtime and found a little sidewalk cafe to eat lunch. That evening the kids went to Snobahn and Michael and I had dinner at the new shrimp boil place which was good, but not good enough to return.
Saturday we rode our bikes to DeKoevend Park which was really fun. The kids played in the creek and Michael and Jason tried to fly the kite, but there wasn't enough wind. It was beautiful and sunny though and all the trees are flowering and so beautiful.
That evening I went to dinner at my friend Paul's house. He invited other arts people and it was really fun. Dinner was great and so was the conversation.
Sunday we had church and then went to Tocabe which is a Chipotle like restaurant featuring Native American cuisine. We loved it! Then we drove to Parker for the Camp Chief Ouray open house so Davis could learn more about his sleepaway camp this summer. Then we walked over to the Wildlife Exhibit which we all surprisingly, thoroughly enjoyed.
That afternoon I sat on our deck in sunshine with Suzy while the kids and Michael and Jason flew kites in the finally windy weather. It was gorgeous. Later in the evening we all went to Alamo Drafthouse to see the last Avengers movie. We all cried, and loved it.
It was a very peaceful weekend and we all really enjoyed the spring weather, especially knowing that it is going to snow this afternoon and tomorrow. Sigh.
