Pumpkin Patch
We had a really nice weekend. Friday started off badly with another fever illness for Davis, but he quickly recovered. That afternoon we dashed off to San Marcos to visit Mom and Dad and check out the progress on our new house.
Saturday morning we went to the Farmer's market and ran into our friends Will and Kalyn and Jackson. That afternoon we headed to Target to buy three more Lightning McQueen cars since Davis is obsessed and we had to have some back-ups. Saturday night we went to the CASA's 4th Annual Fundraising Event. The whole family was there as well as our friends and we drank wine and danced and laughed and left the kids home with a sitter. It was nice.
Sunday we headed to the Pumpkin Patch in Marble Falls at the Sweetberry Farm's Fall Festival. I had sent out an email asking everybody to join us there and several people accepted. It was so fun! Katie and Soren met us at Rudy's Barbecue for a quick lunch and then we caravaned up to the Farm. Annie and David and Hosea were waiting there as were our new friends Christine, Jeff, Cassidy and Carter. Soon my sister, Tiffany arrived with my nephew Kade. Annie had bought us tickets to the hayride and Davis was so excited! He loves tractors almost as much as Lightning McQueen. We stood in line while the kids fed the goats. At the last moment my parents arrived with Lilianna! We all hopped abourd the hay ride. Davis was beside himself with joy. We also had homemade ice cream and took lots of pictures. We would have stayed longer, but the heat was awful! How can it be so hot in October? Sigh. Stupid Texas. Stupid Arizona for that matter. Michael and I were talking about how we've had Summer weather basically since we left for Arizona in January. We are ready for some cold weather!
Anyway, I uploaded the most recent pics up to flickr and you can check them out. Michael left this morning at 5:30Am to spend the week working in Dallas. We'll miss him. If you're in town, give me a call this week! We'll be looking for fun things to do. Love, A
