New Directions/New Blog

The times, they are a'changing.

I think it might be time to start something new. I have the idea that I want to start a new travel website/blog. I want it to be fancy and pretty. It will be a place to focus all my travel obsession/passion. I will blog our trips there and talk about travel with children. I will post when I find places that I want to travel to and I will post when I find great travel deals. I will talk about the points game too.
I want to talk about Generational Travel. I want to talk about traveling with small children, but I also want to talk about how it is to travel with my dad and my grandparents. I haven't been able to find any websites out there that talk about travel with alzheimers and I think it would be helpful to some people.
Katie already told me she'd help with my social media. (sure, with all her spare time. ;))

This blog has been my journal for seven years. I have loved keeping a record of my family here. Each year, when I receive my hard cover printed copy of my blog and place it on the shelf with the others, I feel pride in what I have created. I love that your comments have printed out as well. I have loved that when I talk to family and friends, they are current on our lives and events and we can just jump into the meat of a subject without having to fill in all the background. I don't think I will let this blog go. No, it will still be my journal. I think I may have to make it less public somehow, sometime. Maybe password protect it? Part of this is because I'm feeling more private. Part of this is because I want a place to really let it all hang out and I'm not sure I want the whole world seeing my dirty laundry. Part of this is because my kids are becoming their own people and I'm not sure that they want their lives up on display all the time- at least not shown through my filter. What do you think?

Let me know if you want to stay with this blog. I really want to know. Just comment and say "here". And then we'll see what the future of this blog should be.

Also, while you are commenting and after you write, "here", will you give me a suggestion for a name for my new generational travel blog? Something short, something witty, something catchy. Please, oh please?

Here! I love following your family and especially your travels. Even adore them more when you visit my hometown of New Orleans! Love Stacey's idea....but perhaps to follow your current blog's "Living", you could say: "Traveling the Yellow Brick Road"...or "Meandering" or "Following"....
