We got trouble folks.

This week has been a bit of a struggle. We've had some good points as well. The kids have been going to Camp Hope and they really like it. They've been happy and healthy and are great kids. I've also really enjoyed getting to go back to work this week and it has made things a lot better. I was feeling a lot of guilt about not being helpful enough and I also just love getting back into the routine and getting to spend time with my dad.
However, this week I've been having some depression that is probably hormone related. I'm still trying to figure all that out, but it leaves me feeling unhappy about the present and not excited about the future. I know it's in my head, but it's keeping me down. The good news is that I'm feeling better as the week goes on and so perhaps this will be short lived. I missed book group for lots of reasons including the fact that Michael was out of town and my sitter wasn't available and now I regret it. I've also had some nausea and I'm worried I might need to cleanse again and I don't wanna. And we found out that a family friend passed yesterday and we are all sad about it.
Michael was out of town this week in Dallas. He has been having a rough week as well. On memorial day weekend he ran into some bull nettle in Stonewall and had a terrible allergic reaction. Several weeks later, it has turned into a bad infection. He went to the emergency room in Dallas on Thursday morning and they gave him an antibiotic shot and a prescription for two more antibiotics and some pain killers. When he woke this morning, his leg was worse. We went to the doctor this morning and the doctor believes the infection goes deep into his leg and is too much for his immune system even with the three antibiotics. We're scheduled to see a surgeon this afternoon who will probably open it up and drain it out. Right now Michael is set up on the couch with his leg up and he's not allowed to walk around on it at all. Guess that means we'll cancel the schlitterbahn plans for tomorrow. Hopefully Michael will get the treatment he needs and start getting on the road to recovery. We've had a LOT of illness and surgeries around here over the last three months and I'm ready for it be over.
